Deaths Per Capita - Late April through Mid May

Deaths per Million as of May 15, 2020

One thing I thought would be interesting to compile is the deaths per capita numbers I found on worldometer.  Specifically I wanted to combine deaths per million for major countries (who have had at least 400 deaths) with deaths per million for U.S. States, since I am a U.S. Citizen.  It kind of gives an idea of how countries are doing relative to each other, how states are doing relative to each other, and how U.S. states compare to countries that have had major problems.

My data omits smaller nations and territories that have very small populations where the rate in "deaths per million" can grow very high with even one death.  I have kept in all U.S. States even with smaller populations and less deaths than 400, but I have made a note if they have a smaller population with less than 400 deaths.

I gathered this information from these two places:
Countries: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries
States: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

And I have gathered it on three occasions shown below - Mon Apr 27, Fri May 8 and tonight Fri May 15.  All numbers are in "deaths per million".  Which means to be 1% of the population the number would have to be 10,000.  The worst stat to date is New York state at 1417 tonight... which means about 0.14% of the population of New York state has died of (or with) COVID thus far.

Note: China is omitted from these numbers because we don't have accurate information from them.
